

Of Jackson, MI, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the age of 85, surrounded by loving family members. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Joan (Beebe) Craft; children, James (Cheryl) Craft and John (Nozomi) Craft; grandson Mark Craft; siblings, Imogene, Glendell, Greeley (Darlene) and Phyllis Kinney, as well as nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, son, Thomas D.; brothers, Estus and Wendell; sister, Beatrice; and brother-in-law, Richard Kinney. Thomas was born in Gauge, Kentucky to Adam and Carrie (Risner) Craft, on October 15, 1932. Thomas graduated from Lees Junior College in Jackson, KY, and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Thomas and Joan were married in Jackson, MI, on October 8, 1958 and were long time members of the Church of Jesus Christ in Albion, MI. Thomas worked in construction, security and farming during his long career. Thomas’ family would like to acknowledge sister, Phyllis Kinney for her special care and devotion to her brother; as well as Thelma, Amanda, Monique and Landua for their dedicated and compassionate care. A service honoring Thomas’ life will be held at the Oak Chapel in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Jackson, MI, on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Bill Pogue officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will take place after the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Thomas’ memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
