Of Jackson, passed away May 14, 2016, age 93. Survived by one nephew, Donald (Kim) Moore; one niece, Marjorie Herman; two nephews, Ed (Linda) Boldrey and Marvin Pardee; and several other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents, Wilbur and Mildred Goldsmith; two brothers, Ramson “Jay” Goldsmith and Wilbur Goldsmith; two sisters, Ruth Moore and Wilma Mills; one nephew, Gerald Herman; and one niece, Pauline Pardee. Velma retired from Macklin-Bendix Co. She was a kind, generous, and most loving aunt; she had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tease her nieces and nephews. She loved to travel and had an “On The Road Again” bumper sticker on her car. She was the most ardent reader. The family would like to thank Arbor North, Great Lakes skilled nursing and Hospice for their excellent care. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery Chapel on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10:00 A.M.
