Of Jackson, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Allen R. Smith. She is survived by two children, Terry (Deena) Smith and Sue Smith; four grandchildren, Tamika Smith, A. J. Smith, Angie Smith and Shyanne Adams; nine great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren as well as two nieces and a nephew. She was born to Fred and Eva (Cantrell) Lerch in Jackson on December 1, 1921 after graduating from high school she married and was employed as a secretary at Jackson Public Schools. She was a proud hard working homemaker. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. According to her wishes, cremation has been selected and there will be no services. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Woodland Cemetery.
