

Daniel Wolfgang Johnson, 35, of Jacksonville passed away Friday, October 16, 2015, in a tragic traffic accident on Atlantic Blvd where he died at the scene. Daniel was born September 17, 1980 in Augsburg Germany to Sylvia I Baur Johnson and Johnie L. Johnson. His father and mother separated when he was a young child. His father remarried and Daniel was raised by Johnie L. and Lynn Johnson, he accompanied his new family to Georgia, back to Germany then eventually to Jacksonville Florida.
Daniel was a natural born artist and while attending Frank Peterson Academy of Technologies he won a state sponsored contest for the American Cancer Society where his artwork was featured as a billboard at over 200 locations across the state. After school, Daniel worked several different jobs in his life before learning the tree service. He eventually started his own tree service business where he went by “Dan The Tree Man”. Daniel was passionate about trees, his artwork and his cars. Daniel is survived by his father Johnie Johnson, mother Lynn Johnson, brothers Nicholas, Adam and Alex Johnson and one niece Kylie Johnson.
A viewing for Daniel will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home in Jacksonville Beach. A Mass will be held at St Paul's Catholic Church Jacksonville Beach FL, Friday, October 23rd at 11:00am. Burial will take place after the Mass at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens on St Johns Bluff, Jacksonville FL. A reception will take place after the burial at the Knights of Columbus in Jacksonville Beach on Penman Rd. Daniel will be greatly missed by his family and all of his friends.
