Danny Lee Rowland, 60, passed away March 31, 2011 at his residence in Newton, NC. Danny was born October 10, 1950 in Jacksonville, Florida to Martha Brill Nixon and Herman W. Rowland. Danny served honorably in the U.S. Army during Vietnam retiring as a Master Sergeant. Following his service to the country, Danny chose a career in law enforcement retiring from duty in 2006.
Danny is survived by his wife of 9 years Kelly Marie Rowland; Mother, Martha Brill Nixon and his daughter and son in law Rebecca and Christopher Parlato, his grandson William Parlato and cherished loved one, Amanda Bailey; stepson Brad Anderson; and his beloved companions Mack and Maddy.
Services for Danny will be 11:00 a.m., April 5, 2011 at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Palatka High School Band 302 Mellon Rd. Palatka, FL 32177.
