Dorothy Kerber, 96 of Atlantic beach Florida passed away February 17, 2021. She was born in Jacksonville Florida, was a lifelong resident of the Jacksonville area and had lived in Atlantic Beach for more than 64 years.

Dorothy graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and received a degree from Massey Business College. She was married to her late husband Franklin for over 43 years. Dorothy had worked for several large corporations (USG, GMAC) and later ran a family owned business with her husband.

She was a past member of Neptune Baptist Church, Beaches Hospital Auxiliary and had a passion for community service. Dorothy served on the Atlantic Beach Community Development Board, numerous other committees and was a member of First Coast Medical Center Board of Directors in the 1980s voting to establish what is now Baptist Beaches Hospital.

She is survived by her children Frederick and Albert; granddaughters Samantha and Natalie; brother-in-law Wayne Kerber, nieces and nephews; step sisters other extended family.

Dorothy’s funeral will be held at 9 AM, March 1, 2021 at Neptune Baptist Church with graveside committal at 10:30 Oaklawn Cemetery San Jose Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made in her memory to Community Hospice of Jacksonville.

What we remember most about "Granny " was her endearing love for her Granddaughters, Samantha and Natalie. She would meticulously ponder over what would be the most appropriate gifts for them.
And Granny enjoyed every moment she had with them and would give them her undivided attention.
She will be greatly missed by us all.
