Elizabeth Trask Cannon Heckendorf passed away peacefully December 22, 2014. She was born May 2, 1921 in Oak Park, IL and was a longtime resident of Ponte Vedra Beach and St. Augustine, FL. Elizabeth attended Cornell University, followed by a brief career with Scandinavian Airlines in New York .
A loving wife and mother, she was predeceased by husbands Harold Cannon and John Heckendorf. Survivors include her devoted children, Susan Martyn (James) and Patricia Thomas (James); grandchildren, Kimberly Jones (Sidney), James Martyn (Kim), Stace Falk, Chris Martyn (Andrea), Kelly Wise (Miles) and Patrick Martyn (Mischelle); ten great-grandchildren and sister, Maryann Whitcomb.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Monday Dec. 29th in the Chapel by HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
