

Gayle Harris Perry died Thursday, January 5, after a valiant fight with cancer. Gayle was born February 7, 1949, and was a native of Jacksonville Beach. She graduated from Fletcher High School in 1967, and attended the University of South Florida. She worked for Delta Airlines for forty-two years. Gayle is survived by her husband Bill Perry, Jr., sons Wesley Perry and Chad Perry, granddaughter Sara Noel Perry, sisters Sandra Harris Kosowicz (Victor) and Kathleen Harris Maida, brother David Harris, and many other loving family members.
Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Helen Harris, and her son, Tynan Perry.
Most of her adult life was spent in Dallas, Georgia, where Gayle enjoyed equestrian sports, supported community baseball, attained master status in the culinary arts, and was an avid gardener. Her sparkling wit and loving heart will be sorely missed.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the Warren H. Smith Cemetery, Jacksonville Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
