George Hansen Mills, 85, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, died on the morning of May 03, 2015 at Hadlow Center for Caring. George was born in Ashland, KY on November 26, 1929 to James and Ethel Mills. The last of four siblings he attended Ashland High School and the University of Kentucky. He and his wife, Betty taught dancing at Arthur Murray Dance Studios is Lexington, KY and transferred to the studio in Jacksonville, FL. In 1960, they moved to Jacksonville Beach and George became a Real Estate Appraiser.
George loved sports, especially University of Kentucky basketball, and music, especially jazz. He has served his Lord for many years as an Elder at First Christian Church of the Beaches. He is survived by his wife, Betty and daughter Melissa DeLoach and was predeceased by his son, Gregory.
A celebration of Life service will be held at First Christian Church of the Beaches on Wednesday, May 06, 2015 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Community Hospice or First Coast Christian Church Building and Grounds.
