

Glenn J. Bricker, Retired Major, U. S. Army, age 79, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on May 23, 2016, with his family by his side. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Mary Ann Sirianni Bricker; and two daughters; Denise M. Martin (Denny), DanaLee B. Futcher (Stewart). Glenn had thirteen brothers and sisters and is survived by two brothers; Bobby Bricker, Dale Bricker and one sister; Marlene Reynolds. He has four grandchildren: Deanna Jugan (A.J.); Derek Glenn Martin; Alexa Glenn Futcher and Alana Futcher. He has one great grandchild; Breck Jugan. He was known to the grandchildren as “Gramps” or “Grandpa”. Glenn and Mary Ann were married on January 12, 1957.
Glenn constantly pursued education and completed his Bachelor’s Degree from Gadsden State Community College. He was outgoing and was energized by people as well as provided leadership for his family and many others. Glenn relied on concrete and clear information that was fact based and used his common sense. He was a free-spirit who thrilled at taking action; he was a planner and liked to be flexible as well as disciplined in his approach to life. Glenn loved older westerns such as “Rawhide”; John Wayne movies and Clint Eastwood.
Glenn was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a dedicated and loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He began his military career as an enlisted man and retired as a Major after serving honorably and faithfully for 21 years. He served in the Artillery and was a true patriot who loved the United States. He worked in Corporate Security with such organizations as Alcoa, Mellon Bank; First Bank Chicago; and AT & T. Glenn loved and worshiped his family; his daughters; grandchildren and his remarkable and devoted wife; Mary Ann. He really enjoyed watching Fox News and was passionate about his love of country and family.
