James Michael “Jim” FitzGerald, 55 passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 in Jacksonville due to respiratory failure. The son of George R. FitzGerald, Jr. and Alice Kroon, he was born August 3, 1955 in Rockledge, Fl. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School in Orlando in 1973. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Midway. He was a cab driver for Coastal Cab. He is survived by his longtime companion Renee Gronczniak. He is also survived by his brothers, George R. FitzGerald III (Joan) of Lakeland and Michael Lexner (Ann Marie) of Lithia, and sisters Carol Young (Jim) of Lakeland, Janet Cote (Dennis) of Orlando and Nancy Ford (Doug) of Montgomery, Al. and numerous nieces and nephews.
