James E. Shea

He was born on March 31, 1934 in Buffalo New York to Michael and Beatrice Shea, both originally from Ireland. Jim is survived by his wife, Gertrude (Dentinger) Shea; his children: James and his wife Teresa, Robert and his wife Gina, Eileen and her husband Ken, and Amy; his grandchildren: Colleen Schnettler and her husband Nick, Caitlin Fithian and her husband Matt, and Grayson Shea. He has three great-grandchildren Aidan, Declan, and Ella. He is also survived by his sister Geraldine (Shea) Schnitter, many nieces and nephews, and their children.

Jim enjoyed listening to a variety of music including classical and opera. Along with his music, he enjoyed reading history, taking night school language classes, traveling, and spending time with family. He worked at Niagara Mohawk Power Company out of Buffalo New York for over 40 years, most of which he happily spent outdoors. He will be greatly missed.

A private family funeral mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Atlantic Beach Florida.
