

Jerry A. Wille, 71, of Jacksonville, FL, went home to his Lord and Savior on October 4, 2013. Born in Rochester, MN, he served as an Elder in the Marion Church of Christ in Rochester and Ft. Caroline Christian Church, Jacksonville, for 25 years. He sang tenor with The Gospelaires quartet for 19 years and taught countless Bible studies. His love for the Lord was evident in all aspects of his life and he shared his faith with everyone he came into contact with.
After distinguished service in the U.S. Air Force from March 1961 until March 1967, Jerry worked for Gopher Aviation in Rochester from 1967 until 1968. In 1968, he joined Mayo Clinic Rochester and retired from Mayo Clinic Jacksonville in 2002. A man of many talents, his many hobbies included Bible study, singing, painting, gardening, puzzles, building and flying RC airplane models, building model cars and restoring old cars (Mopar).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Dora Albrecht Wille and brothers, Donald, Delbert, and Darrell Wille. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Lou Schmidt Wille; son, Dean (Connie) Wille; daughter, Dawn (Randy) Orr; grandchildren, Taylor Wille, Amelia Orr and Zachary Orr; brother, Duaine (Catherine) Wille; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
