Joan W. Hartman, 88, of Ponte Vedra Beach passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at her home after a short illness. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Jessie Wilson. Joan moved to Ponte Vedra Beach 30 years ago from Jackson, Mississippi. She was an active member of Palms Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed volunteering with the floral ministry. Joan loved gardening and earlier in life golfing.
She is survived by her daughters, Frances H. Palffy and Carol H. Gist; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde F. Hartman and daughter Susan H. Putnam.
