Just found out today!! I LOVED Julia so much I have memories going to her house as a child.  I taled on the phone with her a few years ago and she said Gina I have a necklace you made me years ago!! I know Heaven gained the best that day!! Sending you all love and prayers Gina Finch Hood

When I think of Julia, I have many fond memories.    Memories of her kindness, compassion, her love of young people and always wanting the best for them. 

She was bold, but always in love, for instance when she would tell a young person who was going astray, “don't make me take a stick to you!”    

I considered Julia a dear friend and I will miss her greatly, but rejoice in knowing where she is.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

Your mom was such a joy to have known.  It's been too many years to count since getting to see her almost every day for a period of time but I still vividly remember her smile, her voice, and her laugh.  I am grateful for having had the chance to know here.

Mrs Bacon aka Mammie was a strong Southern woman who was a true Christian and an awsome southern cook.  She will be missed by many and kept in the heart of all who knew her.  Love to Em, Lee, Jessie, and Robbie and his family.

I can truly say she will always live in our hearts and prayers. I so respected and admired Mrs. Bacon, aka "Mammy". She gave me her heart, home and security when I needed it most. I loved her for the true southern christian women that she was. Thank you Emily and Robbie for sharing her with me.
