Kathleen Lee Ricketson

Kathleen Lee (Thurlow) Ricketson, 56, of Jacksonville, FL, peacefully passed away on November 4, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 15, 1967, in Jacksonville, she was the youngest of six children to Frank and Geraldine Thurlow, both of whom preceded her in death.

Kathy grew up in Mayport, FL, graduated from Fletcher High School in 1985, and worked in the mortgage industry for over 30 years. She married Sid Howell in 1992 and they had one son, Joseph Cole Howell. Kathy married George Ricketson in 2007 and they remained together until the time of her death. Kathy absolutely loved people and she spread joy everywhere she went. Her ability to make people smile and brighten their day is how she will be remembered by all who knew her.

Kathy is survived by her son, Cole Howell, daughters Ashley and Maggie Ricketson, and her dear granddaughter Riley Ricketson. She is also survived by her brothers, Mike (Karen) Thurlow, Frank (Kimm) Thurlow, Mark (Carol) Thurlow and Matthew (James Rinehart) Thurlow; as well as her sister Sharon Thurlow and many nieces and nephews.
