Kathy Brantley Granfors, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished mema, treasured aunt, beloved cousin, and dear friend, entered the Kingdom of God alongside her devoted husband of 36 years, Kirk Allen Granfors, on April 4, 2025. Born and raised in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Kathy was a proud 1974 graduate of Duncan U. Fletcher Senior High School. She carried her beach-town roots with her throughout life, embracing each day with joy, laughter, and love. She never met a stranger and had a special gift for making everyone feel like family. Her greatest joy in life came from being a mother and Mema. She lived for her children: Michael (Erin) Thomason, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Winterling, and Sarah (Daniel) Denton, and her six precious grandchildren: Kinsey, Kylee, Miles, Andrew, Zachary, and Reagan. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and they lovingly called her "Mema." Kathy also leaves behind her beloved nephews: Aaron (Shelly) Rabon, Josh and Justin Perritte, Ben and Carter Rabon, as well an abundance of extended family members and dear friends who will truly miss her joyful presence. Professionally, Kathy worked in banking for most of her career, where she built lasting relationships and cared deeply for her customers. She had a true servant’s heart, treating everyone she met with kindness and compassion. Her life was filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her family and friends. Kathy’s beautiful smile and kind heart brightened every room she entered. Her spirit touched countless lives, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Kathy’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and unshakable strength. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered. She was truly one of a kind. A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Kathy and Kirk on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Beach Church, 325 7th Avenue North, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
