Lynn Roberts LaMee, born September 29, 1964 in Rockledge, Florida, passed away on March 3, 2026. She was deeply loved by her family. She spent most of her life in Jacksonville, Florida, and cherished a few special years in Savannah — a place that held many happy memories for her.
Lynn was passionate and quick-witted, known for her sharp mind, playful humor, and her commitment to proper grammar. She had a spark that was entirely her own — the kind of presence that could fill a room, start a lively debate, or turn an ordinary moment into something memorable.
She was a devoted mother to her five children: Sarah Donnelly (Tim), Ashley Balch (Josh), Ryan Owens, Katey Goodwin, and Abbey LaMee. Her proudest title was “Bambi” to her ten grandchildren — Anderson, Holly, Lucy, Colton, Logan, Mason, Beau, Carter, Emerson, and Luna — each of whom brought her immeasurable joy. She loved them deeply and spoke of them often.
Lynn had a gift for making holidays magical. She hid elaborate Easter baskets, delivered surprise gifts from the “Valentine’s Monkey,” and created Christmas traditions that kept her five children guessing — assigning secret code names to gifts to preserve the mystery, even if she sometimes forgot which child had which code name. Her creativity and enthusiasm made celebrations unforgettable.
She is also survived by her siblings, Glenn (Rita), Patricia, and Richard, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories.
A lifelong Florida Gators fan — truly more than anyone should reasonably be — she loved fall Saturdays, live music, cold beer, and being surrounded by family. At her core, Lynn cared deeply about people. Her love was real and powerful.
Lynn’s life was not always easy. She experienced profound loss at a young age with the passing of her father, Eugene Roberts, in 1968, and later her beloved mother, Elaine Roberts, in 2002. She also mourned the loss of her sister, Deborah, in recent years. Through life’s challenges, she fought to keep moving forward. She worked to grow, to learn, and to be better for the people she loved. That determination — that refusal to stop trying — was part of who she was.
We find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her parents, her sister Deborah, and her son-in-law Jon.
Her family and loved ones will gather this week to honor and celebrate her life.
