It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Maci Elizabeth Blakely, who left this world peacefully at home on August 3rd, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and cradled in her mother's arms.
Born on February 2nd, 2011, in Fernandina Beach, FL, Maci was a vibrant soul who brought immense love and joy to everyone she met. Maci is survived by her devoted parents: her mother, Mari Blakely, and step-father, Mariceu Diniz; her father, Cory Blakely and his spouse, Amy Wisenbaker; her dear brother, Hudson Blakely; her maternal grandparents, Robin Platukis and Balys Platukis; and her paternal grandparents, grandmother Donna Nowlin (husband David Nowlin) and grandfather James Blakely.
Maci was the light of her mother’s life, and shared a bond that tied their souls together. She was adored and cherished deeply by her mother, whose love for her was boundless. To her father, Maci was the apple of his eye, bringing endless pride and joy. Maci enjoyed going to Jeep events and off roading with her father.
Maci loved Disney World and always looked forward to a visit with Minnie Mouse and Elsa. She loved going to school where she was a social butterfly, bringing smiles to her classmates and teachers each day. Maci loved dresses, especially her Santa dress that she was known to wear all year long. Maci’s favorite activity was a pool day for swimming, where she was free from any physical limitations that she faced during her life.
Maci enjoyed music and dancing and was part of the Adaptive Dance Studio in Saint Augustine. Her radiant spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her. Maci’s presence was a beacon of love and happiness, making a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. Her warmth and kindness will be remembered forever. Maci has joined her Lord and Savior in heaven and is now smiling down on her family and friends.
Her legacy of love and light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. A celebration of Maci’s life will be held on Saturday, August 10th, from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Garden Club of Jacksonville, FL. We invite all who knew and loved Maci to join us in honoring her memory. Rest in peace, sweet Maci. Your light will never fade.
