Manuel B. Alonzo, 78, of Jacksonville passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Born in Cavite, Philippines he was a son of the late Francisco and Engracia Baluyot Alonzo. He was a mechanical engineer in the United States Navy and retired after 23 years of service. After his retirement from the Navy, Manie joined Johnson and Johnson, Vistakon.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elisa Alonzo; son, Ariel Alonzo and his wife Rachel; daughter, Melissa Yurasko and her husband Frank and 5 grandchildren.
A Vigil service will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 2:30 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home with Fr. Mark Waters officiating. Visitation for family and friends will follow the service till 5:00pm at the funeral home.
