

Ms. Margaret S. Lie-Nielsen, age 74 of Broxton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday July 22, 2017 at the McGraw Center for Caring in Jacksonville, Fl. after a courageous battle with cancer.
A native of South Georgia, Margaret graduated from Broxton High School in 62’, South Georgia College in 64’, Georgia Southern in 66’ with a degree in education and then obtained her Master’s Degree in education from East Carolina University in 1989.
Margaret began her career in the field of education as an elementary school teacher. She then continued her journey in administration for many years as an Elementary School Principal in both Bayboro NC, and Douglas, GA. She had a deep passion and fondness for fostering education and loved to help children reach their full potential. She enjoyed watching food network, going to church and often times good be found nestled in a chair reading a good book. Mostly, she loved to cook and spend time with friends and family.
Margaret is preceded in death be her husband Tom Radford and son Erik Lie-Nielsen and is survived by her daughter, Amanda Askew her husband Brock and their children Caroline & Erik Brock, her grandchildren Turner and Tilly Lie-Nielsen and her sister Shirley Rivers. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
A Memorial Services for Margaret will be held Saturday July 29th 2017, at 11:00am In the Broxton United Methodist Church, Broxton Georgia.
