Margaret (Margo) Metzler, 85, of Atlantic Beach, passed away May 21, 2025. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 5, 1939. Margo graduated from University of Mary Washington and received her master’s in library sciences from Catholic University.
She married Charles P. Metzler on June 6, 1961. Margaret P. Metzler worked as an elementary school Librarian for the Duval County Public School System. She was a member of the Couteau Society and had a passion for music, swimming, crossword puzzles, traveling and animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and John Pierce, brother Jack Pierce and sister-in-law, Bonnie J. Metzler. In addition to her husband, Charles, she is survived by her children, Charles T. Metzler (Wendy) and John G. Metzler (Suzie); granddaughter, Julia M. Metzler; and sister-in-law, Barbara Pierce. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Pierce and sister-in-law, Bonnie J. Metzler.
