Martin Luther

Martin Luther, 75, crossed over to heaven on January 10, 2015. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rita, and three children, Tracey Warren (Randy), John Luther, and Fran Roberts (Troy), as well as 4 grandchildren, Luke Warren, Ava, Ryland, and Alexander Roberts. Martin is also survived by his sisters, Susan Colborne(Wayne), Jean Ann Beshear, and Kathy Luther, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by parents John Francis and Ruby Luther and Brother John Luther.

Martin graduated from Altoona High School in Altoona, IA and following his service in the Navy he completed his Master's Degree in Physical Education at Murray State University. Martin started his professional career as a teacher and football coach at Terry Parker High School, and then moved on to build an amazing career as a business owner and salesman for 30 years. Martin's love of golf led him to play in the 1993 Senior Open at Cherry Hills. He was disappointed however that he never got a hole in one, but he sure had a great time trying. He spent most of his time playing with his friends at Selva Marina Country Club in Atlantic Beach.

Be home soon - I have to play an Emergency 9 Holes Celebration of life service followed by reception will be held at Hardage-Giddens, 1701 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville Beach, FL on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, please send a memorial to the charity of your choice.
