Michael Youngblood, 82, of Jacksonville, passed away September 24, 2023. He was born in Winston Salem, NC on October 5, 1940. Mike and his family moved to Jacksonville where he graduated from Bishop Kenney High School.
“Napa Mike” worked for Napa Auto Parts for over 40 years and was a member of the Jacksonville Offshore Sports Fishing Club, the old Jacksonville Beach fishing pier crew, and was an integral part of the King Buster Fishing Tournament through the years. His passions included NASCAR racing, fishing and the Florida Gators.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sandy Youngblood; daughter, Holley Hendrix; grandchildren, Brandon, Myles, Cody, Savannah and Ireland Rose; great-grandson, Reese; and his sister, Susan. Special thanks and recognition go to Becky Mead for assisting Sandy during these last few difficult months.
A service to celebrate the life of Michael Youngblood will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, Oct. 14th in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 Noon.
