Richard A Filippi

Richard was born in Vineland, NJ where he lived until 1965. He graduated from Vineland High School and married Anita Rosemarie Contento. Richard also graduated from Glasboro College and later received his Master's Degree from Old Dominion University. Richard served in the United States Navy for over 22 years in both the Enlisted and Officer ranks. After serving in the Navy he worked for Lockheed Martin and then the Job Service of Florida where he worked as a veterans placement officer, helping veterans find employment in the civilian workforce.

He is survived by his three children Michael Filippi of Biloxi, MS, Karen Filippi of San Antonio, TX, and Stephen Filippi of Severn, MD; 4 grandsons Brandon and Zachary Hindes, and Dustin and Jacob Filippi; 4 granddaughters Courtney, Gabrielle, and Kaitlyn Filippi and Alexandra Hindes. Richard is predeceased by his wife Anita (Contento) Filippi, his parents Delmo and Elizabeth (Pennino) Filippi, his brother Delmo Filippi, and his granddaughter Nicole Hindes.

A memorial service and mass are scheduled for 11:00 Saturday Jan 7th at Sacred Heart Church in Vineland, NJ.
