Sue H. Zauke

Sue H. Zauke, age 84, passed away on January 25, 2017 at Ashford Court Assisted Living in Jacksonville Beach, FL. She was born on April 22, 1932 in Danville, VA to Wayles and Sue Harrison. She grew up dancing, horse back riding, and modeling. She was also a talented artist.She earned of her degree in interior design.

Mrs. Zauke has been a resident of the Jacksonville area since 1982 coming from Old Greenwich, CT. to the Ortega area. After moving to Jacksonville with her family, she turned her love of antiques into a business in Avondale called Piccadilly Circus.

In 1994, she and her husband move to Ponte Vedra Beach.

She was predeceased by her husband, Max D. Zauke and her son Max Harrison Zauke, a brother, Wayles Harrison and sister Caroline Newton.

She is survived by her son, Harrison Randolph Zauke (Nicole) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, a sister, Mae Moore of Roanoke, VA and three grandsons, Max, Jacob and Owen Zauke.

A visitation will be on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 3:00pm with a celebration of her Life at 3:00pm at the Hardage-Giddens Beaches Chapel, 1701 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.

Interment will be in H. Warren Smith Cemetery, Jacksonville Beach , FL.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hardage-Giddens Beaches Chapel.
