Violet B. Anderson, 89, passed away peacefully July 10, 2015 in Jacksonville. She was a dedicated and faithful military wife who was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Anderson. She is survived by her son, David Anderson (Michelle) of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Florence Cavanaugh (James) of Middleburg, FL; grandchildren, Krystina Anderson, Stacey Wilder, Karl Anderson, and Samantha Amaral all of Jacksonville, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, July 14th at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL. A celebration of Violet’s life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 15th at the funeral home with Chaplain David Holladay officiating. She will join her husband at rest in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. For those who prefer, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
