

Agnes Snipes was a cherished mother, loving wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a beacon of warmth and kindness. She peacefully departed this world on March 28th, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born on October 18th, 1936, in Nicholls, GA. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to her family and God. She was a devoted wife to Billie Snipes, sharing 69 years of love and companionship. She poured her heart into raising her children. She was always there to offer a listening ear, a warm hug, and a hearty meal. Her smile could brighten even the darkest days.
Agnes Snipes is survived by her two daughters, Janet Mishoe and Patty Hughes. Three grandchildren, William Mishoe, Jeremy Mishoe, and Jennifer Hughes. And her great-grandson Noah Mishoe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley Hersey and Ardelia Hersey, and her husband, Billie Snipes. As well as three brothers and one sister.
She always had a way of making everyone feel loved and appreciated, especially during difficult times. She had a passion for her church, family, cooking, going to yard sales, and gardening. Her infectious laugh could light up any room, and her stories were always captivating. She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her gentle spirit, and her endless capacity for love. We will forever cherish the memories of her laughter, her wisdom, and her unwavering support. Though her physical presence is gone, her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. We will miss her dearly.
A visitation for Agnes will be held Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A committal service will occur Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
