Wesley Alcus Miner, age 73, passed away August 23, 2022. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on May 30, 1949 to Wesley and Evelyn Brazil Miner. He graduated Class of ’67, attended FCCJ and married Lani Nigels in December 19, 1969. Al worked for B & B Exterminating Company, B & B Outdoor and Treasure Chest Jewelry. He enjoyed hunting, collecting things, fishing, shopping for BOGOs, and traveling with friends.
He is survived by wife of almost 53 years, Lani Miner; son Jason Miner; daughter Jessica Miner; two grandchildren Maddox Alcus Killian and Maguire Scott Killian; niece Amy Goodwin; nephew Bret Burmeister and his wife Tonya; first cousins Tori Farmer and Kathy Garvey and their spouses and children; also several cousins and their families in Tifton, GA.
Preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Brazil Miner; sister Pamela J. Goodwin; uncle Walter P. Brazil; and several other aunts and uncles.
A memorial service for Al will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
