Aline N. Abigando, 99, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2011, having recently celebrated her 99th birthday. A native of Monroeville, AL, she had been a member of the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She was also the matriarch of her family’s five generations. Her husband, Victorio Abigando, and son, Roy Perkins, preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Hannah Claudio, who was also her caregiver, and Mary Lou Campagna; two sons, Jimmy and Bobby Abigando; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren. The 20th great-great-grandchild, Adelyn Ivy Byrd, was born December 20, 2011.
The visitation will be Saturday, January 7, 2012, from 2:00 until 3:00 PM, at Town and Country Chapel, followed by the funeral service. A reception will be at the Social Hall of the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, after the service. In addition to flowers, those wishing to honor her memory may make contributions to the building fund of the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
