Loved AJ's smile. He was a good friend. RIP brother

I grew up with the Jones Family on College St. back in the late 60's and early 70's.We were a gang of good kids with AJ ,David and Jeff Housend,Mark Hoppler and myself.We spent a many a day at the Murray Hill Theater thanks to his brother Wayne..What wonderful childhood memories of those days and that famous AJ smile..The world lost a great man but heaven gained an even greater soul..Although it has been many years since we've seen each other and as life often doe's friends lose touch they never really are lost because they have that little place tucked deep in your memories and heart..That is where I will alway's find AJ and the Jones family..To the Jones Family know that my wife Jaye and I have you in our thoughts and prayers..Always trust in Jesus for he will carry you through this..Alan RIP my friend and I'll meet you on the other side...God Bless the entire Jones Family...J.T. Allan and I were high school friends.  He drove an old AT&T van with stick on the column. He insisted that I learn to drive it. It was hard to say no to Allan. He could be pretty insistant. More recently we spent a day on the river in his boat. He was insistant I learn to drive his boat. Some things never change. May God bring peace upon family and friends.

My Uncle Allan always had a smile on his face and enjoyed being with friends and family.  We were blessed to have him in our family and many were blessed to have his help in their homes.  He will be missed!

Allan was such a sweet and kind hearted man, he always had a smile on his face.  You can tell what kind of man you are by the what kind of relationship you have with your daughter, and he had a very special one with Cj. When I seen them together I could not just see the love but feel the love. Rest in Peace Allan.

My heart breaks at the loss of Allan, as I know his family he loved so very much. and all his friends, especially his best friend Danny. I am so very happy that Allan and  were able to reconnect in the past several years. On April 11 th , his birthday  I thought of Allan,  I knew he was spending it with the person he loved so much, his daughter. Sadly I did not know where. Sincerely, Vicki Hand.

One weekend Allan was at my mom's house fixing a plumbing problem.  Mom had been widowed for several years, and had circled some "men seeking women" ads in the Times Union.  Mom had fixed Allan some coffee and was making him breakfast.  Allan saw the circled ads and in his southern drawl said "Siggie are you looking for a man?"  Mom, embarrassed and flustered replied that she thought some were interesting but would never have the courage to follow through.  Allan told mom he knew a nice man.  Allan introduced mom to Charlie and they were married about 9 months later.  Missing your big smile - Love Vicki Duncan

My thoughts and prayers go out to Kenny and the family. I always think back to when Alan rode with me to the funeral of our friend Dickey, when right after the service started and we were all praying when out of the back of the church we all heard the distinctive "pop" of a beer can and when we looked back it was Alan. On the ride home I mentioned it to Alan and he told me "That is what Dickey would  have wanted". I laughed and thought he was right. remember "Death is but a fleeting moment in an eternal life". I am sorry to hear about your loss. During this time of great sadness, I hope that the family find comfort from James 4:8. It says, "Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you." Along with family and friends, may you'll also look to God for comfort.
