Allen D. Sheppard

Allen Dorsey Sheppard, 67, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away March 1, 2013. He was a lifelong Floridian landing in Green Cove Springs over 30 years ago. He served in the Air Force but is best known as Sheppard’s Heating and Air in Jacksonville and then Green Cove Springs. He was an avid antique car lover and a member of the Azalea City Cruisers’ and Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Honesty and honoring his word was his life. He was known for his silly jokes and sense of humor. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He is survived by his best friend, the love of his life and wife of 48 years, Virginia, his daughters Cindy Johnson (Robert) and Evelyn Grace (Tim), his grandchildren A.J., Nicole and Morgan Johnson, his brothers Lester Sheppard (Linda), and Coltson Sheppard, his sisters Maryjane Scaff and Pearl Parrish (Wallace ), foster brother Stephen Stallons and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Vistatation will be this evening, Tuesday, March 5, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd N, Jax, FL 32225. Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens.
