Anna Lee Atkins Mattox, 77, went to be with the Lord on February 5, 2019 in Jacksonville, Florida. Anna Lee was born in Comfort, West Virginia to the late Seigel Atkins and Garnet Beckett Atkins on June 13, 1941.
Anna Lee is survived by her children, Kevin Michael Mattox And Lori Michelle Davis; grandchildren, Kristian Tanner, Garrett Davis, Taylor Davis, and Kevin Michael Mattox II; great-grandchildren Payton Tanner and Mattox Tanner; sisters Pat Engstrom and Donna Thompson; Sister-in-Love Joan Atkins; and many other loving family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Croft Mattox; son, Mark Andrew Mattox; siblings, Seigel Atkins, Jr., Mary Lou Atkins Haspel, and Gary Atkins.
Anna Lee was a devoted wife to her late husband Wille C. Mattox of 35 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her life to God and her family. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters and friends, and her Friday night dominoes games with the Domino Divas. She will be so missed.
A visitation will be held Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 6-8pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 Edgewood Avenue S. Funeral service will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 at 1:00pm at Heckscher Drive Baptist Church, 6650 Heckscher Drive. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park.
