

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years and 11 months, Pamela A Wilson, daughter Victoria Nelson (Matt ) , sons Donald Barrett ) and Auston "Tony" M Wilson V (Jen). Grandsons Patrick Barrett ,Parker Barrett, and Duncan Nelson.
Auston is preceded in his passing by parents Auston M. and Barbara Wilson, III.
Auston aka Monty was born in Wilmington, NC on March 14th,1945. He was an army brat with deep Jacksonville roots, traveling with his parents to Germany and Japan, then settling in El Paso Tx. where he graduated from Irving High School.
In his youth Monty worked as a T.V. times Illustrator in Hawaii. After coming back to Jacksonville he was in an accident that broke all the bones in his feet and was told he would never walk again. He said "YES I will "!, and even became an instructor at The Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Jacksonville, FL.
He was a carpenter and wonderful oil painter. He was a wonderful husband and a great father. He coached the boys in baseball, and was an avid dancer. He loved dancing to 50's music and he and Pam were avid Square Dancers for over 40 years. As he slowed down he took up shooting pool with some very good friends several days a week when he was not Golfing. His good friend Charley will be having a celebration of his life in the future.
Monty is missed by his family and all his friends but now is at peace.
