Avis Teresa Coward, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 in Jacksonville Beach, FL. She was born in Trinidad, West Indies. Avis was very active in her church, Church of Christ and also enjoyed shopping and gardening. Avis is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Henry Coward and one son Henry Herbert Coward. She is survived by 2 daughters Rosemary and her husband Lee Crane, Patricia Myers, 4 grandchildren Joshua and his wife Kim, Christopher, Alexandra, Jacqueline and 4 great-grandchildren Chase, Joshua Jr., Jack and Griffin. A visitation for friends will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 from 1-2pm at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral services will be at 2pm after the visitation with interment at Riverside Memorial Park.
