Benjamin M. Morales, a beloved father, husband, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 7, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 68. Benjamin's life was marked by his generosity and love for his family.
Ben was born in Subic, Zambales to parents Bonifacio and Emilia Morales. He was the seventh child out of thirteen children. In his early twenties, Ben joined the United States Navy, which brought him to California where he met his wife, Liberty. They have two children together, Alexander and Arielle.
Although Ben was known for his calm and quiet temperament, he is also remembered for his sense of humor. He was a notorious jokester, always ready with a witty remark or funny prank. He brought lightness to any gathering. His jokes and playful spirit will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew him.
One of Ben's greatest skills was cooking. He would watch the Food Network with his daughter, Arielle, and they would replicate recipes together in the kitchen. His children, nieces, and nephews will never forget when he prepared all meals for them during Summertime sleepovers. We will greatly miss his Dinuguan, Caldareta, and Menudo.
Benjamin is survived by his wife, Liberty; his cherished children, Alexander and Arielle; his adored grandchildren, Lucia and Max Lopez; his siblings and a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. His family finds solace in knowing he is no longer suffering and will forever cherish the time they had with him.
Rest in peace, Benjamin. Your spirit will live on in the love you shared, the meals you prepared, the laughter you brought, and the lives you touched.
A visitation for Benjamin will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225, followed by a prayer service at 6:00 PM.
