Dear Terry, Tanya and Amy we are so sadden by your loss. Ben was a wonderful person. The last time I saw him he rode up to the house on his motorcycle and visited for a while. Maybe he knew he was sick but didn't say anything. He talked to me about Terry, how much he loved her and he worried about her. He always thought of others.  We have known you both for more years than I care to admit. Ben helped Steve build our house, he was over here building with a bunch of the guys when I first met Terry. He was driving off when Terry arrived he had a guy named Ralph in the truck with him. Now Ralph had a beautiful head of hair and Terry thought it was a girl with Ben, she gave chase. Funny now but Terry wasn't laughing then. That's when I became friends with Terry. Though all the years Ben only had eyes for Terry. We visited when you lived in Raford, remember me telling you Terry to hang some cloths on a line outside in case any prisoners escaped because they would only stop that close to the prison for a change of clothes. Our dogs breaking into the rabitt pen, you were pregnant with Tanya and we were running after dogs and screaming our heads off. We even attracted attenion from the road. They didn't know what was wrong. I don't know where Ben and Steve were, probably fishing, since no one ever caught a fish while I was there, they went without us. But we had a good time whenever we hung out together. I'm sure Steve has many more memories with Ben than I and I will get some from him for you. Terry know that I am here and we can hang out whenever you feel like it. We love you and know Ben would like that. Some of life has to be endured and we don't have to like it, but we have to learn to survive it. Ben will be missed and never forgotten. We don't always win the battle, but Ben won the war and is at peace and out of pain.  We'll see him again when it's our turn. All we can do now is make him proud. Love You, Diane and Steve Clemons

Sam and I hadn't known ya'll very long, but our hearts go out to your family and to you Terry, I just love you and Tanya to death. We are very sorry for this hugh lost, but we are here for you, anything you need.  I wish we could have gotten to know Ben a little better, but God had to have him with him.  Which is our lost but Gods gain from all the wonderful things I know.  We love you  Holly and Sam Kinard

Theresa and family, We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Ben was a good neighbor and a good friend to all on Boone Park Avenue. We will certainly miss him and think of him often. We know that Ben has moved on to a better place and will be missed by all his friends. Matthew & Christopher Puthuff

I started at beaches tree service when i was 19 years old, thats when i met Ben. Ben took me under his wing and tought me everything about tree work, he was one of the best climbers out there. But i myself am truly going to miss his everything is going to be ok attitude. His family is in my thoughts and prayers and he will be truly missed by all of us.

Thoughts and prayers for Ben's family,
Ben was a kind soul and will truly be missed by all of his friends from Odom's Beaches Tree Service.  After work, he would stop at the shop to unload equipment and socialize with us all for a short while before going home.  He would often treat our boys Kyle & Dylan to drinks and snacks from the Kangaroo store.    They would walk up to the shop after school to meet their father Billy who worked with Ben.  Billy enjoyed working, fishing and most of all….laughing with Ben about his dog whom you could not look at or touch.  They had a nickname for his dog ‘Choo-pool-la-cob-la'.  Orlando, who also worked with Ben, asked me to include that he will always remember how Ben would offer a Lubi's sandwich for breakfast or after work during the many rides he gave him to and from work.  Ben will live in our hearts and memories forever…we all feel both fortunate and blessed to have known him.
