She was born in Greenacres, Florida on September 28th, 1929. Betty graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and pursued her career as a clinician throughSt. Luke’s School of Nursing. She worked for the City of Jacksonville as a clinician in Marietta.
She had two daughters, Bridget McCormick and Sharon McCormick. Betty attended faithfully and was a member of Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene for over 50 yearsright up until her passing. She served the church in multiple positions during that time.
She is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Ellington and Ruth Skeel and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry James and EddieMae Smith, her brothers, Jimmy, Donald and Henry Euel, her sisters Marion White and Pearl Fisher and her daughters, Bridget and Sharon McCormick.
The visitation, will be held at 10:30 AM on January 26th, 2021 at Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene, followed by services at 11:30 AM at 4151 Old MiddleburgRd, Jacksonville, Florida 32210.
