Betty Jean Plaster, age 94, passed away in Keystone Heights, FL on February 9, 2024. She was born in Offerman, GA on September 29, 1929 to Melvin Davis and Nellie Thornton Davis. She married Bill Plaster and was a widow at the time of her death.
Betty Jean worked in the banking industry as a bank teller. She loved working in her yard and was a member of Lake Shore Baptist Church for over 25 years.
Surviving her is her sister, Pat Laughlin; grandson, Josh Waldrop; step-daughter, Patti Tyson; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her husband, Bill Plaster; son, James Waldrop and step-son, Steve Plaster.
A funeral service for Betty will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Following the funeral service will be a committal service at 1:30 PM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
