Betty Lou Hopson Russell, 76, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 in Orange Park, FL. She was born June 24, 1941 to Thomas and Addie Hopson in Dunn, NC. Betty loved to do gardening, crochet, sew and play bingo. She had a huge heart and enjoyed helping people as much as she could. Betty attended her church on a regular basis and was involved with many things there. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Brinkley Hopson and Addie Mae Hopson and her husband of 42 years George Charles Edward Russell. Betty is survived by her children; son Scott Russell, daughter Karen Russell, daughter Ginger Russell, grandchildren Madison Reynolds, Thomas Reynolds, sister Mary Lou Yarbro as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home is serving the family. A visitation for friends will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home. Funeral services to be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11am at the funeral home with interment at Riverside Memorial Park.
