Carlos Alberto Oyenarte Jr.

Carlos leaves behind his mother, Jeanette Scarboro; his son Timothy Houston, Jr, his daughters Leah Hicks, Shelia Houston and Jessica Oyenarte. In addition, he leaves his sister Brandy, uncles Darrell Scarboro, Jr., Travis Scarboro and Shawn Scarboro along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. Carlos is preceded in death by his father Carlos Oyenarte, Sr. and Grandfather Darrell Scarboro, Sr.

Carlos was a very bright, intelligent young man with many talents. He worked in roofing and construction. He loved camping and being in the outdoors. But what really brought him joy was the time he spent with his family. He especially loved taking care of his mother, who he loved dearly. Family meant everything to Carlos. His generosity and compassion were shown to all he met – and he never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Rest in Peace, son until we meet in Heaven.

A visitation for Carlos will be held Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A graveside service will occur Friday, August 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Restlawn Memorial Park, Ribault Scenic Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32208.
