Carol lived a life dedicated to her family and to caring for those around her. She had a home always open to family and friends. Cooking was one of her greatest joys, and she found happiness in preparing meals and hosting gatherings that brought everyone together. Whether it was a Sunday dinner, a holiday feast, or just a spontaneous get-together, Carol made sure there was always enough food, laughter, and warmth to go around.
Outside of the kitchen, Carol enjoyed sewing, gardening, and crafts. She spent hours making quilts, clothing, and gifts for her family. She loved her garden, taking care of her flowers and plants. Crafting was another favorite hobby, and she was always working on new projects. Everything she made was a reflection of her love for her family and the joy she found in creating.
Her love for her husband, James Wallace Hendrix, was unwavering, and their 53 years of marriage were filled with devotion, laughter, and a shared commitment to family. Carol took great pride in being a wife, mother, and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with those she loved. She had an extraordinary way of making everyone feel special, and her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Wallace Hendrix; daughter, Amy Gayle Hendrix; and grandson, Blake Hendrix. She is survived by her children, James Alan Hendrix of Glen St. Mary, James Wallace Hendrix Jr. and his wife Michelle of Jacksonville, Jason Eugene Hendrix of Jacksonville, Shelby Jean Davies-Hendrix of Jacksonville, and Sarah Elizabeth Hendrix of Jacksonville; as well as her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
