Carol Ann Mixson, 70, home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 26, 2016. She was born July 4, 1946 to Carroll and Mary Fordham in Jacksonville, FL. Carol loved spending time with her family and cooking. Her absolute favorite ice cream flavor was chocolate and she loved chocolate cake and always enjoyed any dessert provided for her. Carol is survived by two children, Teresa (Andy) Gifford and Thomas Larry Markham, Jr. (Jennifer) and four grandchildren, Tanner and Austin Gifford and Hunter Markham and Jessica Howard. A Sister, Darleen Snow, a brother, Ronnie Fordham and Sister-in-law, Larhetta Fordham and several nieces and nephews. A visitation for friends will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 6-8pm in the chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home. Funeral services to be held at 10am on Saturday, September 3, 2016 in the chapel with interment at Riverside Memorial Park following funeral services. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made in Carol’s name to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
