Carolyn Ruth Loy Davis, known to her birth family as Spiz, transferred her membership October 6. She is survived by daughter Melanie, son Bryan and daughter in law/love Shirley. She also leaves behind sister Myrna Greene, brother and sister in law/love Harold and Dottie Loy and niece and nephew Dennis Loy( Ann) and Cyndi Greene all of the Knoxville Tennessee area.
Her faith and passion for life breathed through her. In life, she shared her faith by example and enjoyed traveling and trying restaurants. The staff at the Jammes Road Bonos Barbeque and Park Street European Street Cafe were like family.
Her passion for learning expressed itself in a 34 year teaching career. Many former students remember her creative teaching methods.
Her faith and love touched the lives of many at the Normandy Park Baptist Church she called her church family. She left this earth expressing hope that as many as possible would join her in Heaven and did much even in her final days to make that possible.
Her beloved husband of 57 years Gordon, parents Ruble and Mayme Loy, aunt and uncles Ruth, Emmert and Edward and niece Carole welcome her to the company of Heaven along with in law/love family Cliff, Wana and Ed Davis and sister Clara Roberts and her husband Jim.
The family requests remembering Carolyn's life and faith through donations to the Go Fund at Normandy Park Baptist Church
