He was an avid golfer, enjoyed watching collegiate and NFL football and taking cruises multiple times a year. He loved working in the yard and laying out by the pool, but his all-time favorite pastime was spending time with family and cooking out on his favorite grill. He loved Corona Premier beer, Miller Lite and Lemon Lime Gatorade. No one was a stranger to him, he could talk to anyone about any subject and if you were sad, he could make you laugh instantly. He was a faithful member of Westside Baptist Church and the Anchor Connection Group Sunday School Class.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Lee and Cloia Evelyn Campbell Adkins; brothers, James, Gary and Joey Adkins; sister, Willie Adkins Jordan; daughter, JoFlora Adkins Smith, and grandson, Coen Adkins.
