Mr. Lindsey was raised on a farm and after graduating from high school he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy. He spent 21 years serving our country and traveling all over the world and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He then went to work at Anheuser Busch and spent the next 25 years working to keep all the machinery running smoothly. After retirement he enjoyed puttering around the house working on the never ending honey-do list.
Mr. Lindsey worked tirelessly to build the best life for his wife and children. In his later years he enjoyed spending time with his grand children and most recently was proud to become a great grandfather. Along the way he told wonderful stories of life on the farm, adventures in the Navy and interesting characters at Anheuser Busch. He was quiet, gentle and stoic and he deserved every ounce of love and respect he inspired in family and friends.
Mr. Lindsey was predeceased by his beloved wife Rebecca S. Lindsey, his parents, one brother and three sisters.
Mr. Lindsey is survived by his two daughters Becky Lindsey Slate and Annie Hammock (Curtiss), grandchildren Alex Lindsey and Katy Rogers (Chase) great grandson Eli Rogers, sister Linda Jarvis (Albert), brother Bill Godwin ( Beverly) and several nieces and nephews.
