

Mr. Clarence Leo Tyler Jr., of Middleburg passed away on January 13, 2018 at Haven Hospice of Orange Park. He was born on April 03, 1926 in Moultrie, GA to the late Clarence Leo Tyler Sr. and the late Macie Hammock Tyler.
His family came to Jacksonville when he was a young man. He worked as an Auto Mechanic with his brother and his dad. He was inducted into the United States Army in 1944. After returning from the service he joined the Building and Construction Trades Union as an Ironworker in 1947. In 1960 he started a construction company, T&G Steel Erectors which he later sold. He continued to work in the Building Trades Unions until he retired from Local Union 597. Mr. Tyler was an avid fisherman. He loved to fish and once spent a couple of years at Dead Lake fishing every day. He was good with his hands and could build about anything. He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond M. Tyler and two brothers, Marvin Tyler and Roger Tyler.
Mr. Tyler is survived by one daughter, Rita VanAlstyne (Ronnie); two sons, Tommy Tyler (Pamela) and Robby Tyler (Pam); Extended family, Alnetta Whitaker; 8 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road N. Jacksonville, FL 32225.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road N. Jacksonville, FL 32225. Interment will follow at Arlington Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 6920 Lone Star Road. Jacksonville, FL 32211.
