At the age of 25 Daniel was drafted in the United States Army in 1966. After several years of service with the United States Army he then served in the Florida Army National Guard. While doing this he also worked as an electrician and machinist. During his free time he loved to play with model trains and wood working in which he shared this passion with everyone.
Son to Daniel R. Thomas and Martha Helene Thomas. Survived by his wife N. Diane Thomas, son Todd Thomas, sister Kathy Coley (Homer Coley) and sister Faye Higbee along with many others he considered family.
A graveside service will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218 at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024.
