Dorothy Jean Poss born August 8, 1936 in Buncombe County, NC and passed away February 5, 2020 in Macclenny, FL. Dorothy was a kind loving, generous Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She was a dear friend with a warm heart to all. Dorothy was a member of West Park Baptist Church on Jones Road in Jacksonville, FL and resided in Hilliard, FL since 2006.
She was preceded in death by two children Debra Jean Ferguson and Jerry Kevin Edwards. She is survived by children Michael (Jane) Thrift, Chuck (Angie) Edwards and Rickey Edwards; grandchildren Conner Edwards, Calee Edwards, James Whittaker, Walter Ferguson, Charles Ferguson, Danielle Edwards, Robert Edwards and Naoma Woods; and a very special niece Hazel Bodziak and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and family for visitation Sunday, February 9, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral services will be held Monday February 10, 2020 at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. and she will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Riverside Memorial Park.
