

Freddie Charles Danlag, 88, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on November 2, 2025. Born in Cebu, Philippines, he served honorably in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and continued his career with the U.S. Postal Service for another 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Godelia, daughter Emily, sons David and Allen, and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Richard.
Freddie enjoyed dancing, playing the piano, and singing. In retirement, he attended Bible study at the local senior center and was a longtime member of St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s Catholic Church.
He will be remembered for his gentle nature, faith, and love of music.
A visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, located at 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225, on November 12, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at St Paul's Catholic Church, 523 Pablo Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32250, on November 13, 2025, at 11:00 am.
A reception lunch will take place on November 13, 2025 beginning at 12:00 for those guests not going to Jacksonville National Cemetery. Guests going to the National Cemetery are welcome to attend the reception after interment.
The committal service will follow at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218, on November 13, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
